About MAC Open

MAC welcomes spectators to this gymnastics spectacular each February, with club arenas often filling to capacity.

Registration

To register go to www.usagym.org and use the meet reservation system. For questions contact Molly Gill at MGill@themac.com or 503-517-7558.The meet sells out, so make hotel reservations early. 

Admissions

  • $10 per person

  • $5 for seniors (65+)

  • $5 for children 6 and under

  • $5 for active duty military with ID

  • $25 for family, including parents, immediate siblings, and grandparents

    Cash or check only; no weekend passes and colored wrist bands indicate the gym and day admission purchased.

  • Girls Compulsory & Xcel (Levels 2-5, Xcel)

  • Girls Optional (Level 6-Elite)

  • Boys Level 4

  • Boys Level 5-7

  • Boys Level 8-Elite

    Competition Format, Equipment, and Awards

  • Modified Capital Cup for girl's sessions

  • Modified Capital Cup for boy's optional sessions and Level 4

  • Traditional Format will be used for boy's Levels 5 and 6

  • All equipment is AAI Elite

    Age Groups

  • Boys level 4: 6, 7-8, 9-10, 11+

  • Boys level 5: 7-8, 9-10, 11+,

  • Boys level 6: 8-9, 10-11, 12+,

  • Boys level 7: 10-11, 12+

  • Boys level 8: 11, 12, 13-14

  • Boys level 9: 13-14, 15-16

  • Boys level 10: ages 15-16, 17-18

  • Boys JD: 12-14, 15-19

  • Girls level 3 thru 8: evenly distributed into three age groups

  • Girls level 9 & 10: juniors and seniors divided equally

  • Xcel Sessions: age groups will be divided by level and evenly distributed between two to three age groups, depending on number of gymnasts

Entry Fees

  • Women’s Level 2-5: $75

  • Women’s Level 6 – 10: $110

  • Xcel Bronze/Silver: $60

  • Xcel Gold – Platinum: $75

  • Men’s Level 4-7: $75

  • Men’s JD and L8-10: $100

  • Team Fee for Finals: $50 per team

Individual Awards Per Session

  • Level 4 boys will receive all-around medals

  • Top six places for individual events, per session, per age group, for all levels of girls

  • Top 10 places for individual all-around, per session, per age group, for all levels of girls

  • Top 10 places for individual all-around, per session, for boys (unless group size determines otherwise.)

  • Individual event awards for boys will not be awarded at the meet per Oregon men's rules

    Team Awards Per Session

  • Girls levels 2 to 7 are awarded first to fifth place; top three scores count

  • Girls levels 8 to 10 combined, top eight teams, compete in Team Finals – see below

  • Boys levels 4 to 7 are awarded first to fifth place; top three scores count

  • Boys levels 8 to 10 combined, top eight teams compete in Team Finals – see below

    Team Finals

Top eight teams from the levels 8 through 10 Girls combined and levels 8 through 10 Boys combined from the individual all-around sessions will qualify to finals.  

Rules for Team Finals

  • Five athletes up on each event

  • Three scores count towards the team score

All athletes on a team must compete on at least one event

Park Lane Inn and Suites hotel is the host hotel judges and coaches. Please mention MAC Open when booking. In order to receive a special rate please mention Multnomah Athletic Club when booking at Hotel Deluxe, The Sentinel, and Hotel Lucia.
